Color Note:
This is a natural Australian opal displaying vivid play-of-color — flashes of red, blue, and green that vary with the angle of light and view.
Stone Notes:
Australian opal is a hydrated silica, Mohs 5.5–6.5, known for its play-of-color — vivid shifting flashes that vary with the angle of light and view. This natural oval cabochon displays vivid red, blue, and green across its full face — beautiful and best enjoyed with mindful wear; avoid impact. Emerald is a variety of beryl, Mohs 7.5–8, colored by chromium and vanadium — vivid forest green and deeply saturated; avoid impact. Sixteen round brilliant diamonds complete the inner halo — natural carbon crystals, Mohs 10, white, bright, and precisely placed.
A Note on Color:
Photography is captured under controlled lighting to represent this piece as accurately as possible. Australian opal play-of-color shifts with the angle of light and view. Emerald and diamonds may shift slightly, depending on your light source, screen calibration, and brightness.
Care:
Your jewelry is a lifetime investment and a work of art — treat it with the care it deserves. Remove before swimming, bathing, or any prolonged water exposure. Never apply lotions, creams, or perfume while wearing — always put on last. Avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration. Avoid impact and abrasive surfaces. Keep away from hot water, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Clean gently with warm water and a soft damp cloth reaching carefully around all opal prong settings, the full inner diamond halo, and all outer emerald halo settings; pat dry thoroughly. Store in a soft pouch away from harder stones. Annual inspection recommended — verify all 4 opal prong settings, 16 diamond halo settings, and 16 emerald halo settings at each inspection.
