Stone Notes: South Sea pearls are organic gems, Mohs 2.5–4.5, prized for their thick nacre and naturally warm golden body color — a natural characteristic of pearls cultivated in the gold-lipped oyster. At 10.05mm, this pearl sits at the lower end of the South Sea size range. Minor surface variations are natural characteristics of the variety, not flaws. Diamonds are natural carbon crystals, Mohs 10.

Care: Your jewelry is a lifetime investment and a work of art — treat it with the care it deserves. Pearls are among the most delicate of all gemstones — avoid sharp impact, scratching, and abrasion. Remove before swimming, bathing, or any prolonged water exposure. Avoid chlorine, harsh chemicals, and prolonged chemical exposure — these strip nacre over time. Never apply lotions, creams, hairspray, or perfume while wearing — always put on last. Avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration. Avoid extreme heat and sudden temperature changes, which can damage nacre and affect luster. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Clean gently with a soft damp cloth; pat dry completely. Store in a soft pouch away from harder stones. Annual inspection recommended — verify cup epoxy setting and channel-set diamond security at each inspection.
