Large Oval Amethyst Sculptural Ring

A 19.86ct elongated oval amethyst is held in a cage of gold prongs that fan upward and outward from the base of the mount, leaving the pavilion exposed. The shank twists in opposite directions beneath the stone and crosses at the back in a bypass design. Crafted with amethyst and solid 14k yellow gold — wearable art that holds its value.

This amethyst displays a transparent violet-purple. It appears lighter in open light and deepens to a richer, more vivid violet-purple when worn against the skin.

Amethyst is a naturally occurring variety of quartz with violet-purple color and natural transparency. It ranks 7 on the Mohs scale. Natural inclusions are characteristic of genuine amethyst and are fully expected in these stones.
