Color Note: This tanzanite displays a vivid royal blue-violet. Tanzanite is a strongly pleochroic stone — color shifts between vivid royal blue-violet and deep violet-blue depending on light source and viewing angle. This is a natural optical property of the stone, not a flaw. Natural inclusions are characteristic of genuine tanzanite and are fully expected in natural stones.

Stone Notes: Tanzanite is a blue-violet variety of the mineral zoisite, found exclusively in a small mining area near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It ranks 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Tanzanite is strongly pleochroic — displaying vivid royal blue-violet, deep violet-blue, and burgundy tones depending on the angle and light source.

A Note on Color: Photography is captured under controlled lighting to represent this piece as accurately as possible. Tanzanite color shifts with the angle of light and view, and colors may read slightly differently depending on your light source, screen calibration, and brightness.

Care: Your jewelry is a lifetime investment and a work of art — treat it with the care it deserves. Tanzanite is beautiful but more delicate than sapphire or diamond — handle with care. Remove before sleeping, swimming, showering, or any water activity. Never apply lotions, hairspray, perfume, or cosmetics while wearing — always put on last. Avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration. Avoid impact, sharp blows, and abrasive surfaces — tanzanite can chip or scratch, particularly at the marquise points. Never expose to sudden temperature changes. Clean gently with warm water and mild soap using a soft brush to reach the deeply ornate open gallery and between all diamond settings; pat dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Store separately in a soft pouch — never store loose with other jewelry as the marquise points are vulnerable to chipping. Annual inspection recommended — verify all prong settings and diamond surround at each inspection.
