Emeralds and natural opals alternate in a continuous XOXO hugs-and-kisses chain — deep apple-green emeralds prong-set in open X-links, shifting play-of-color opals prong-set in O-links, the two stones trading off across the full length of the bracelet in an open figure-eight construction. Color Note:

The emeralds display a deep, saturated apple green. Each opal displays shifting blue, green, and white play-of-color — unique to the individual stone, changing continuously with light and angle.

Stone Notes:

Emerald is a variety of beryl with a Mohs hardness of 7.5–8, colored green by chromium and vanadium. Natural inclusions are characteristic of emerald. Opal is hydrated amorphous silica with a Mohs hardness of 5.5–6.5; its play-of-color results from light diffraction through microscopic silica spheres.

Care:

Avoid chlorine, harsh chemicals, and prolonged chemical exposure. Never apply lotions, creams, hairspray, perfume, or cosmetics while wearing — always put on last. Avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration. Avoid impact and abrasive surfaces. Keep away from hot water, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Wipe gently after each wear with a soft, dry cloth dampened with plain water only — do not soak. Store separately in a soft pouch away from harder jewelry. Annual inspection recommended — verify all emerald and opal prong settings, open-link integrity, and clasp integrity at each inspection.
