Oval Ruby & Diamond Halo Ring — Open Wire Gallery

A 1.12ct faceted oval ruby is secured by four substantial prongs within a complete halo of sixteen round brilliant diamonds, each held by three prongs. An open semi-wire gallery with upright gold supports forms the raised basket beneath the halo, flowing into a slim tapered band. Crafted with ruby, diamonds, and solid 18k yellow gold.

This ruby displays a vivid pink-red. Color may read slightly more red, pink-red, or deep magenta depending on angle and light source.

Stone Notes:

Ruby is the red variety of corundum, an aluminum oxide mineral colored by chromium, with a Mohs hardness of 9. Diamonds are crystalline carbon with a Mohs hardness of 10. ⠋

Care:

Keep away from hot water, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes. Avoid chlorine, harsh chemicals, and prolonged chemical exposure. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Wipe gently after each wear with a soft, dry cloth dampened with plain water only — do not soak or rinse under hot water or running water. Store separately in a soft pouch to protect the ruby, diamond settings, and semi-wire gallery. Annual inspection recommended — verify the four heavy ruby prongs, all 16 diamond prong settings, and gallery integrity at each inspection.
