An oval tanzanite set in a 4-prong crown mounting, with round brilliant diamonds sweeping outward in open prong clusters on each shoulder. Four round brilliant diamonds run channel-set along each bypass shank arm, flush and continuous from the shoulder to the back. Beneath the tanzanite, an open ornate gallery frames the pavilion. Color Note:

This tanzanite displays a medium violet-blue. Tanzanite is a strongly pleochroic stone — color shifts between blue-violet and violet-blue depending on light source and viewing angle.

Stone Notes:

Tanzanite is a blue-violet variety of the mineral zoisite, found exclusively in a small mining area near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It ranks 6.5 on the Mohs scale. Tanzanite is strongly pleochroic — displaying vivid violet-blue, deep blue-violet, and burgundy tones depending on the angle and light source. Natural inclusions are fully expected in natural stones. Sixteen round brilliant diamonds — set in shoulder clusters and channel-set along each bypass shank arm — are white, bright, and precisely placed. Diamonds are natural carbon crystals, Mohs 10, the hardest natural material.

Care:

Your jewelry is a lifetime investment and a work of art — treat it with the care it deserves. Tanzanite is more delicate than sapphire or diamond — handle with care. Remove before swimming, bathing, or any prolonged water exposure. Avoid chlorine, harsh chemicals, and prolonged chemical exposure. Never apply lotions, hairspray, perfume, or cosmetics while wearing — always put on last. Avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration. Avoid impact, sharp blows, and abrasive surfaces — tanzanite can chip or scratch. Never expose to sudden temperature changes. Clean gently with warm water and mild soap using a soft brush to reach between all pavé settings; pat dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Rhodium plating on the diamond settings will wear gradually over time — professional re-plating recommended as needed to maintain the bright white two-tone finish. Store separately in a soft pouch. Annual inspection recommended — verify all tanzanite prong tips and pavé setting integrity at each inspection.
