A 3.63ct oval tanzanite is set in a four-prong crown basket mounting, flanked on each side by three round brilliant diamonds totaling 0.15ct in triangular shoulder clusters. The shank is a split design — two parallel rails diverging from the base of the basket and running separately toward the back, with open space between them framing the gallery from below. This tanzanite displays a deep vivid royal blue-violet. Tanzanite is a strongly pleochroic stone — color shifts between deep royal blue-violet and vivid violet-blue depending on light source and viewing angle.

Stone Notes:

Tanzanite is a blue-violet variety of zoisite, found exclusively near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, with a Mohs hardness of 6.5. Tanzanite is strongly pleochroic, shifting between vivid royal blue-violet, deep violet-blue, and burgundy depending on the angle and light source. Inclusions may be present and are characteristic of tanzanite. Diamonds are natural carbon crystals, Mohs 10, white and bright.
