Color Note: These tanzanites display a vivid cornflower blue to violet-blue — a natural color. Tanzanite is a strongly pleochroic stone — color shifts between cornflower blue and violet-blue depending on light source and viewing angle. These tsavorites display a vivid green — a natural color. Natural inclusions are characteristic of genuine gemstones and are fully expected in natural stones.
Stone Notes: Tanzanite is a blue-violet variety of the mineral zoisite, found exclusively in a small mining area near Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It ranks 6.5 on the Mohs scale — beautiful and wearable, but requiring more care than sapphire or diamond. Tsavorite is a vivid green variety of grossular garnet, colored by vanadium and chromium, ranking 7–7.5 on the Mohs scale. These oval tanzanites and round tsavorites are alternated in a continuous sequence — the blue-violet and vivid green a complementary color pairing.
A Note on Color: Photography is captured under controlled lighting to represent this piece as accurately as possible. Tanzanite color shifts with the angle of light and view, and tsavorite may read slightly more or less saturated — colors may read slightly differently depending on your light source, screen calibration, and brightness.
Care: Your jewelry is a lifetime investment and a work of art — treat it with the care it deserves. Tanzanite is beautiful but more delicate than sapphire or diamond — handle with care. Remove before sleeping, swimming, showering, or any water activity. Never apply lotions, hairspray, perfume, or cosmetics while wearing — always put on last. Avoid prolonged exposure to perspiration. Avoid impact, sharp blows, and abrasive surfaces — tanzanite can chip or scratch. Never expose to sudden temperature changes. Clean gently with warm water and mild soap using a soft brush; pat dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners. Store separately in a soft pouch. Annual inspection recommended — verify all prong settings and clasp security at each inspection.
